When prompted, do not click 'Run'. Click Save and save it to your desktop. Once the download is complete, click Run.
After installation click on Help > About and jot down the new full, multi-digit version number. It helps for us to know all of the digits of your version number to render you the best possible support. Live support is only free for the first 30 days after purchase. As long as you accept all updates when they become available, all you will have to do when purchasing the next upgrade will be to enter the product key to have access to next year’s calendar.
Move the data to the new computer:

OPTION ONE: Restoring Data from a previous backup:
IMPORTANT! Backups must reside in the "local" backup folder on the new computer to be restored.
On the old computer, go to C:\Program Files\HRcalendar Software\Data Backup or C:\Program Files (x86)\HRcalendar Software\Data Backup and copy the most recent backup.
On the new computer, go to C:\Program Files\HRcalendar Software\Data Backup or C:\Program Files (x86)\HRcalendar Software\Data Backup and paste the copied backup.
Type Demo to continue if prompted. From within HR Calendar click on File > Restore to get a pop-up window listing the backup that you just pasted.
Select the appropriate backup and click Open and then close and reopen the program to view the restored data.
OPTION TWO: Copy your data from the old computer and paste it into the new one.
- Open the old computer and go to C:\Program Files \ Microsoft SQL Server \ MSSQL.1\ MSSQL \ Data.
- The two files that constitute the database are: Hrcalendar.mdf and Hrcalendar_Log.LDF.
- Copy these two files and paste them into the same folder on the new computer.
Upgrade the software:
After renewing the license. Copy the product key you received from us in the invoice e-mail. Open HRcalendar and click on Help > Enter Product Key and paste-in the key. Click OK and now, if you open an employee's calendar, you will see that the next year is now available.
